About the event

All October, we’re celebrating Filipino American History Month by pouring Philippine coffee donated by roasters, supporting the Filipino farmers who grow it. 🌱

To round out the celebration, we’re welcoming a special guest on our Open Sunday!

We’re excited to welcome MIXT Cafe, which brews specialty drinks from rice “coffee” (kapeng bigas), a toasted-rice tradition from Filipino farms and kitchens, with flavors from a mixed-culture upbringing. Founded by Kasey Acob, a second-generation Filipino American from the Yakima Valley, MIXT joins us Sunday, October 25, at the Bakke Coffee Museum.

Participating Roasters include, Dorothea Coffee, Teofilo Coffee Company, Ballast Coffee, Munti Coffee, and Varacco Coffee Roasters.
