Disco Volante

La San Marco of Udine, Italy, produced many variations of the Disco Volante espresso machine. This 1950s espresso machine was nicknamed Disco Volante, or flying saucer in Italian, for its resemblance to a UFO. Disco Volantes came in a variety of colors as one, two and three lever models. Hydraulic pump versions of this machine were also made. The Disco Volante was designed by Italian architect Gino Valle.
