There's something special about watching a movie outside as the sky turns from gold to navy, coffee in hand, surrounded by neighbors and friends. That's exactly what we're planning for on Friday, August 21st, we'll be hosting a free outdoor movie night right here in Ballard, featuring the beloved '90s rom-com classic, 10 Things I Hate About You.
Set against the backdrop of a fictional Seattle high school, the film is a modern retelling of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, with sharp dialogue, an unforgettable soundtrack, and a story that still resonates decades later. 10 Things I Hate About You has become a cult favorite in its own right, and locals and newcomers alike will appreciate the classic views of vintage Seattle.
Here's what to know:
Gates open at 7:00pm, giving you plenty of time to settle in, and catch up with friends before the film begins at dusk, around 8:30pm. Be sure to bring your own chairs and snacks to get comfortable for the show.
The event is free but pace is limited, so we ask that you RSVP in advance to reserve your spot.
Bring your friends, get cozy, and get ready for a night of romance, rebellion, and of course, good coffee!
